The Los Angeles Arboretum is a 127-acre botanical garden and historical site jointly operated by the Los Angeles Arboretum Foundation and the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation.

The site, located in Arcadia, California is across the street from the historic Santa Anita Raceway in the eastern part of Los Angeles County.  Among its featured attractions are peacocks , lakes, ponds, waterfalls and a number of buildings and greenhouses providing a broad range of botanical experiences.  We were there for about 3 hours and saw only a small part of the grounds.
