I am lucky enough to have family who live in Honolulu, and I have been visiting the islands of Hawai’i since 1972.  I’ve been to all of the accessible major islands with the exception of Molika’i which I hope to visit soon.  That having been said, I have done any photography only on O’ahu, Kaua’i and Maui.  All three are represented here.

My last trip, to Maui and Kaua’i was in January of 2018.  I went with friends and we went in winter to photograph Humpback whales in Maui.  Humpbacks live off the coast of Aslaska, but every year, a large number migrate to the waters of Maui.

My friends are much more landscape photographers, so we also traveled to Kaua’i.  We were successful photographing in both Maui and Kaua’i and has a really good time.
